Semiotics Very interesting source of links to semiotic-related websites from the University of Colorado at Denver.

Semiotics for Beginners This website by Daniel Chandler (University of Wales, Aberystwyth) is a good portal to the subject and includes the definition of semiotics, its strengths and weaknesses, references, suggested reading, glossary of key terms, etc.

Semiotic Analysis of Images This website, from the University of Newcastle (Australia), provides a good list of sites related to the semiotic analysis of images.

Semiotic Solutions Commercial application of semiotics to communications. It includes explanations on how semiotic analysis work, how to use it and some examples on how they have applied it to marketing problems. (Note: I personally met with Monty Alexander - one of the founders and, apart from being a very nice person, he proved to be very knowledgeable on this subject.

Usable Web Very good directory pointing to many good usability-related websites. This is Keith Instone's own set of links about information architecture, human factors, user interface issues, and usable design specific to the World Wide Web.

Useit Jakob Nielsen’s website. Dr. Jakob Nielsen is one of the most well-known usability expert in the World. This website provides links to his column on web usability, reports, books, papers and essays.

AIGA Journal of Design for the Network Economy is a well presented website and includes: a definition of experience design, disciplines involved, case studies and a forum for discussion amongst other things.

AIGA Experience Design The official website for the Experience Design community of practice. Here you’ll find a discussion-rich environment related to this field.

Nathan Shedroff Nathan is an experience strategist and has launched one of the first books in this field entitled "Experience Design 1: a manifesto for the creation of experiences"

PeterMe Good source of "thoughts. Links and essays from Peter Merholz" concerning the user experience (interaction design, information architecture, user research, etc.), cognitive science and other topics.
