You've got questions?  We've got answers! For a while, this was Radio Shack's slogan.

FAQs = Frequently Asked Questions (and answers) files.  Read these after you've RTFM (Read The Manual).  Or, just read them for fun – there's a lot of fascinating information here.

FAQ Directories and Collections

• Ohio State's collection of Internet FAQs in HTML format.  I usually check here, first.  These are typically the ones that get posted to the *.answers Usenet newsgroups.
• faqs.org.
• FAQ Finder is a page of pointers to hundreds of FAQs.
• Yahoo's FAQ entries – open the floodgates!
• Usenet FAQs.
• Netmeg Usenet FAQ Archive.

Miscellaneous Interesting/Hard-to-Find FAQs

I've put some individual FAQs here when I've had to dig to find them or they otherwise appear unusual.

• Diamonds.  A real FAQ about diamonds and other jewelry.  Not that cheezy marketing fluff from de Beers.
• Fonts (comp.fonts).
• Lab Safety Manual from U. Texas, Austin.
• Netscape Beta Central Useful Links page.  This has pointers to things like the Unofficial Netscape FAQ and other people's How To Cope With Netscape info.
• Urban Legends and the alt.folklore.urban FAQ.

Other Places Got Answers

• alt.culture ("an a-z of the '90s"), an encyclopedia of youth culture (esp. music).
