Buggy Game Music

Listed are music tracks that have been tested on hardware and verified to sound wrong or odd, either due to a bad rip or because they just sound that way. Refer to this if you're developing an emulator and find a music track that sounds wrong, before you look for a problem in your emulator.

Sega Genesis Music

I've encountered many GYM soundtracks that contain bad/undocumented commands. The following have bad commands in almost every track (but are playable if the bytes are simply skipped): Crack Down, Gaiares, Darius 2, King's Bounty, Shining in the Dark, The Steel Empire, YS3 - Wanderers from Ys, Jewel Master.

NES Music

NSF tracks have been compared to in-game music on a NES playing the game cartridge.

SPC tracks have been verified by loading them into the SPC-700 unit on a SNES using a custom development cartridge.
